You will just have to help me put together something wonderful! I want to mix the clear with white or off white and silver. I am getting excited about a table with some of these things on it! Or the buffet set (which is where I took the pictures on) Thanks for your wonderful coments and for visiting my Blog! Your table settings are just incredible!
Mary Ruth, I love how you used the stemware as a base for some of these. I see pretty orphan stemware quite often, now you've given me an idea of what to use it for. I too have used candleholders this way--even to make my stacked plates. Your pictures are always just beautiful, and I love that you are sharing your craft ideas with us too. Kay aka Luvstocraft
Kay, Glad to see you here! I have had computer problems so I have not caught up with uploading pictures and responding! YES, all the stemware are candle holders! The little one below the covered jar for instance used to hold a little tea light! I just make sure they are real clean before connecting (you know, something trapped in there, stays in there! I love stacked plates too, just have only a couple that I can use. Looking for the special ones that will wow me! Thanks for such sweet comments! You are a so nice! Hey, I learn from others, so passing it on is only fair! Everyone has a unique way of putting together things and coming up with a different way to use something, I just borrow the idea for a while (to make it for myself) then get excited when I see someone else use it another way! Luvstocraft... what a great name... I love to make things too! See you'round the boards!

Thanks Cindy! Glad to see you! I just love to play with dishes! I had some health issues this past year and could not do anything creative except watch TV and look at magazines. AS soon as I could I just exploded with wanting to do 'everything'! It has been so much FUN!
MR! Fantastic project! Excellent job putting together those combinations. What adhesive do you use? How long did it take you to accumulate those treasures?
Ellen, Thanks! I LOVED working with these dishes! Some of the dishes I had, but most came from church/hospital thrift stores. I hit a lucky day and got a lot for under $20 in one haul! I look for dishes with patterns like bubbles, or swirls or etching on the bottom so that the glue lines won't show as much when dry.
I used silicone on some, glue gun on some (that are very temporary as for one dinner or tea party) and then a glass epoxy for more durable. But one sharp tap can disconnect some heavier pieces.
This works for me because non of these dishes are used for eating on (thus needing mulitple washings) and dishwasher exposure. I hand wash these. Older glassware should be kept out of the dishwasher anyway, and I love to use these on special occasions. They are a great treat to elevate your scone or treat while you brew your tea and gather some decorating books to enjoy on a tea break!
Glad to see you. Love your incredibly creative Blog!
